And the Truth Shall Set You Free

Meet Carmela Wade, orphaned as a child while heading West with her parents, and her uncle, Silas Holden, who do live performances recreating Carmela's capture and life living with a group of Indians. Only problem is that the story is a falsehood. Carmela is now an adult and wants to escape from telling this fradulent story and living a life of lies. But she has no other way of making a living. Her uncle Silas has told her her father owed him money and she must pay off the debt. After the stagecoach they are riding heading to their next performance is ambushed Carmela wonders if this is her chance to begin a new life. Follow Carmela and follow passenger U.S. Marshal Freeland McKay adventures as they try to reach safety and come to terms with Carmela's true past. Susan Page Davis has done a nice job recreating a western adventure in My Heart Belongs in the Superstition Mountains: Carmela's Quandary. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.
