Christy finds herself in an alien world from what she is used to in North Carolina. She falls in love with the children and eventually the people of Cutter Gap. Not only does Christy learn about the ways of the mountain people but she begins to learn more about herself and her relationship with God. The book is based on her first year of being in Cutter Gap. If you remember the television show or never read "Christy," I highly recommend that you put this on your reading list. It may be 50 years old, however, the truths uncovered and discovered remain timeless!
